About Mammi's Creator

Mammi’s creator, Tabitha, is a first-time mom, wife and entrepreneur. Mammi is her passion project, and she hopes to support her family with the income generated from this website in the future.

Tabitha started as an anxious, insecure woman who was too scared to pick her newborn baby up, and has now grown into a confident, loving mother who has learnt so much – not only from the strong women in her life, but from her own experience as a mother.

She offers a unique angle on parenting, as she found motherhood particularly challenging at times and had to learn many things on her own. More often than not, she learned things the hard way, with many “mistakes” made along the way.

Her beloved mother passed away from COVID when she was 26, and she had her first baby at 30. Not having her parents or grandparents around made things very difficult for her, and her remaining family was not supportive or present.

Pregnancy was a breeze (mostly), but Tabitha found breastfeeding to be particularly challenging, despite tenaciously trying to succeed, all while dealing with chronic stress, Post-Partum Depression and grief.

8 months into pregnancy, Tabitha fell ill with Chickenpox for the first time in her life and her son was admitted to the NICU briefly after delivery due to a secondary lung infection. He has now grown into an energetic, wonderful little boy with a great sense of humour and a love for people, music and nature.

This blog is her way of reframing her experiences and sharing information she wishes she had known as a first-time parent, in hopes of helping other parents overcome challenges they are facing.

She draws insights from having had a wonderfully loving and supportive mother once, the advice of other women in her life, and her own research and experience as a first-time mother.

Tabitha believes that we need to learn from our “parents’ mistakes”, and she understands the importance of epigenetics and breaking generational cycles to heal ourselves and our children.

In a world where society paints false pictures, and most content is AI-generated nowadays, Tabitha insists that parenting advice will always require the human touch – because only parents know what parenting is truly like.

Parenting has its challenges, but it is so rewarding. Nothing in this world compares to watching your child grow, and growing as a person yourself.

Every child is a little piece of heaven given to us by God – treat your child as you would treat God.
