Are Eco Nappii Diapers 100% Biodegradable?
No, Eco Nappii’s are only partially biodegradable, but they are significantly eco-friendlier and more sustainable than standard diapers.
Eco Nappii’s are made with a 100% bamboo core and more than 65% of the nappy is made from biodegradable materials.
However, some minor components, like the elastic bands and super absorbent polymers (SAPs), are not biodegradable.
This means that although Eco Nappii diapers have a lower carbon footprint and decompose much faster than standard nappies, they will still end up in a landfill.
Depending on the environmental conditions, bamboo nappies can either decompose within 180 days (industrial composting conditions) or 5 years (oxygen-starved landfill conditions).
